Our popular Posh Pub Quiz is returning on 23 March! This year it is in aid of our charity of the year We Love MCR.

It’s all you can expect from your usual pub quiz – just a bit classier.

There’ll be rounds on film & TV, music, random knowledge, a picture round, and a genius round.

You and your team will also get a glass of bubbles on arrival and a delicious supper of popcorn chicken, hotdogs, mini fish and chips, mini sliders and sweet potato fries with mini doughnuts to finish off! If you have any dietary requirements let us know at the time of booking and they will be catered for.

All this in the delightful Manchester Hall and kindly sponsored by Interlink!

Prizes will be awarded for the highest scoring team, the best team name and a wooden spoon prize for the lowest scoring team.

Book your team in asap as places are limited and will be allocated on a “first come, first served” basis.

More information is available here or you can book your team on here.

You can also book by emailing ChandreMay@manchesterlawsociety.org.uk with the names and email addresses of the team members and your team name.

Manchester continues to thrive with new bars, restaurants and venues opening up across the city this year. Here are a few things we’re looking forward to checking out!

Manchester Museum – a much anticipated re-opening of this treasure trove of information is happening on 18 February 2023 with their Golden Mummies of Egypt exhibition. Entry is free but you can book your tickets here to guarantee you can get in.

Maya – opening in the spring on Chorlton Street this restaurant will be led by Mancunian chef Gabe Lea, who has previously worked at establishments like Le Manoir and The French at The Midland Hotel.

Factory International – with their new building set to open this summer we are looking forward to exploring the space and seeing what dance, theatre, music, visual arts, performance, installation and digital commissions will be showcased. Can’t wait? Check out First Breath a mesmerizing art installation running throughout January.

House of Fu – the delicious noodles of House of Fu will be arriving in Manchester in 2023. Home to tasty ramen, gyoza, and karaoke it has MLS night out written all over it.
