As part of Cybersecurity Awareness Month our cyber risk management partner Mitigo are sharing helpful advice on cyber awareness training and associated cyber governance.
Cyber attackers often target employees. Without proper cyber awareness training, they can become a significant cyber vulnerability.
10 components of effective cyber training combined with related cyber governance include:
Cybersecurity Fundamentals – having an understanding of basic cybersecurity principles and terminology helps users better understand potential risks.
Phishing Awareness – knowing about phishing tactics and how to recognise suspicious emails or messages is vital to a deterring users from clicking on malicious links and letting criminals in.
Strong Passwords – the importance of having strong unique passwords for each account, and using password managers to assist with this is all part of user training.
Safe Browsing – empowering users with safe internet browsing habits and warnings of downloading files from untrusted sources. This also extends to the use of social media platforms.
Mobile Security – your mobile phone is another potential route in for a cyber criminal – smartphones and tablets must be kept secure, with things like enabling device encryption and avoiding connecting to public Wi-Fi.
Multi-Factor Authentication – extra layers of protection for your online accounts that needs to be mandatory.
Regular Updates – keeping software, applications and devices up to date ensures that the latest security patches are installed which prevents criminals from entering through known vulnerabilities.
Data Protection – educating users on data handling, encryption, and the significance of protecting personal and sensitive information.
Incident Reporting – encouraging users to report any suspicious activities or potential security incidents and as promptly as possible, but also making sure they know who to speak to.
Simulated Attacks – it’s crucial to test users’ understanding and reinforce their training through simulated phishing attacks and cyberattack exercises. This highlights who needs to undergo more training to help keep your business safe.
Cyber training should not only help prevent security breaches but also foster a culture of cybersecurity awareness and responsibility across the whole organisation. By providing users with the necessary knowledge, businesses can more effectively mitigate risks and strengthen their overall cybersecurity defences. How does it work?
It is a simple process for our Document Production Service to produce your electronic court bundles.

We will return a single PDF document that follows all of the guidelines laid out by HMTCS.
Court bundles can often be a last-minute requirement. We can expedite the completion of these urgent jobs and often return the work within a few hours.
Why outsource your electronic court bundles to Document Direct?
Save time on what is a very detail-oriented task.
There are no software costs involved.
You do not need to learn how to use the software needed to convert and manipulate documents.
Relax knowing our team is paying attention to all the details needed to produce your electronic bundle exactly as required.
All electronic bundles will follow the HMTCS guidelines which include:
E-bundles must be provided in pdf format.
All pages in an e-bundle must be numbered.
A hyperlinked index and bookmarks which include a short description and page number.
All text must be subject to OCR (optical character recognition).
No page should appear upside down or sideways.
The default view for all pages should be 100%.
The resolution of the bundle should not be greater than 300 dpi. File size must be optimized.
Additions are to be made at the end of the bundle and paginated accordingly. Inquiries should be made to the court for their preference of how to manage additions.
More information from the Courts and Tribunal Judiciary can be found here.
What do our clients say?
“We are hugely grateful for the assistance the Document Production team provided over the holidays.
We had a very critical e-bible task which Document Direct completed in tight deadlines and in perfect accordance with court requirements.
We then had to amend the whole thing (due to external additions to the e-bible) which Document Direct attended to in super time.
The work was for a partner who hadn’t used Document Direct before, and she was greatly appreciative and impressed with their assistance. “
