Suggested places to visit include Central Library, the People’s History Museum, the John Rylands Library, the Science and Industry Museum and the Manchester Craft and Design Centre.
While you're never short of somewhere good to eat and drink in Manchester the guide has highlighted local favourites Refuge, Mackie Mayor, Rudy’s, Escape to Freight Island, HOME and Ezra & Gil and many more!
Launching fully next Thursday Manchester’s newest venue MUSU should definitely be on everyone’s bucket list.
We were lucky enough to be invited to the soft launch last night and it is a tasting menu concept that delivers an experiential dining experience.
The creation of two of Manchester’s most experienced hospitality specialists, Vincent Braine and Marius Kamara, whose credits include venues such as Suede, The Milton Club and Dive Bar & Grill, MUSU has been a 4 year journey from inception to fruition. The pair have left no stone unturned, or details out, in their pursuit of delivering the ultimate in fine dining.
Their contemporary interpretation of Japanese dishes, with refinement as well as invention, incorporates the highest level of Japanese ingredients, flavours and techniques with European influences.
From the exquisite cocktails in the bar (we’d recommend the strawberry, peach and lemongrass cocktail which has a grey goose kick!), to the Omakase experience at the Sushi counter and Chef Patron’s Kaiseki and Setaku tasting menus this is truly a restaurant not to be missed.
Chef Patron Michael Shaw, whose illustrious career highlights have taken him from Le Manoir aux Quat’Saisons, Gordon Ramsey’s Aubergine to Richard Neat’s eponymous restaurant in Cannes, has spent the last 18 months honing his passion for Japanese cuisine, with all the precision, skill and flavours that entails. The result is an exquisite tasting menu concept designed to deliver a multi-sensory dining experience, which it does!

Join us to discuss the different journeys of women in law – from different backgrounds and generations, how they have got to where they are and hopes for the future of the profession as they take part in a panel chaired by our very own Fran Eccles-Bech.
This event will be a celebration of the work and achievements of women in law, who inspired them, a look at the challenges faced and how far we have come in 100 years and to highlight what still needs to be done.
