We are delighted to announce that entries are now open for The Manchester Legal Awards.

We cannot wait to recognise and reward our legal talent from across the region at the black-tie gala dinner at the Midland Hotel on Thursday, June 9.

Although last year’s virtual event was such a success, we cannot wait to see people “in the flesh” again at this year’s live event. After the challenges of the past two years, we feel that our community is ready to let its collective hair down and celebrate big time!

We have a limited number of sponsorship and advertising opportunities available. This year’s event will be bigger than ever so I urge anyone who wants to raise their profile among the region’s sizeable legal community email FranEccles-Bech@manchesterlawsociety.org.uk

Judging Day will be Friday 13th May and if you are entering, please keep this day free as this is the only day judging will take place.

There are 21 categories as usual, including two new categories: Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion Champions of the Year and In-house Team of the Year.

The deadline for entries is Friday 1st April. To find out more and to enter visit www.manchesterlegalawards.co.uk or follow @MLAwards on Twitter.

Although orders to work from home are lifted it seems that hybrid working and electronic bundles are here to stay. But are you sending your paperless instructions to counsel in an efficient and manageable format?

Join us for this lunchtime webinar giving advice to solicitors at all levels of seniority who send paperless instructions to counsel.

This session will be led by Richard Lander of Kings Chambers. Richard is an experienced barrister who will outline the dos and don’ts of preparing electronic instructions and bundles, based upon his own experiences and those of his colleagues
