In honour of the coronation this weekend we have dedicated this month’s Talking Heads to the monarchy.

Before getting on to the important stuff we take a look at the historical links between the monarchy, church, state and the rule of law.

Then have a look at the answers to “Who is your favourite monarch and why?”

Picks include Beyoncé, Richard III and Olaf the Black to name a few. There’s also an intriguing take on the coronation quiche.

This is a temporary pilot project, to gauge interest and consult the public and business community on what future uses for the Viaduct could be, with a view to designing a permanent green, sustainable and accessible future for it, making it a permanent feature of the Manchester landscape.

Places are free but must be booked.

We are thrilled to be partnering with Lisa Wright of Menopause the Wright Way to deliver a webinar on 24th May 2023, demonstrating, whatever your age, position or gender, why being more aware of the challenges of those experiencing menopause is essential for everyone.

  • It can bring about physical & psychological changes that you aren’t expecting
  • Premature menopause as a result of a medical condition can impact upon women of any age
This session will explore:
  • Menopause myths
  • Why we should all care (menopause demographics)
  • Understanding the different stages
  • It’s all about the hormones

Home movers have an unquenching thirst for guidance that increases confidence in decision-making – but many conveyancers are waiting for more sector specific guidance before offering data on climate change as standard. Property professionals have an important role to play in sourcing relevant information around climate change.

We spoke to over 140 senior residential conveyancers and commercial real estate lawyers, along with 501 home movers, canvassing their views about the impact of climate change on property transactions. It’s a revealing snapshot, as it highlights how much more change may be necessary to the conveyancing process.

Our guide, Addressing climate change in residential and commercial property, plus what do homeowners think? covers:

  1. How few businesses are reporting on future climate change risks to their clients
  2. The percentage of businesses that have yet to formulate a Net Zero strategy
  3. Colleagues’ views on who should be responsible for advising on climate change
  4. The % of home movers factoring climate change into their decision-making

Climate change affects us all. But this guide reveals how opinions about climate change information are starting to affect the industry, and shaping home movers’ decisions.

Landmark Information Group curates climate change data for those working in every part of the property industry’s value chain. The scope of our work includes surveys like this one, surfacing insights on subjects such as Climate Change, Home Movers’ Experiences, and Digital Transformation.

Download the guide and understand colleagues’ views on reporting around climate change and information exchange with vendors and purchasers.
